|Instrument Transformer Testing Workshop
Hosted by Southern California Edison | April 5, 2017
Instrument transformers are crucial for a reliable and safe energy supply. During the lifetime of instrument transformers, a number of internal and external factors may change the operational behavior and endangers a safe and reliable mains operation. In the worst case, the instrument transformer may fail in operation or a malfunction might occur. Applying effective measurement methods to Instrument Transformers, production processes, commissioning and maintenance of ITs can be improved.
Southern California Edison will host an OMICRON workshop on April 5, 2017. The workshop will provide you with a primer on instrument transformers design and testing, including a comparison of conventional methods versus innovative test methods.
Seating is limited – Registration deadline is March 22.
Application examples will be provided, including a review of practical experiences of performing the following tests on CTs, VTs and CCVTs:
Who should attend?
Participation will include lunch, breaks, certificate of participation for continuing education credit, and course materials.
By registering for this event, you are granting OMICRON permission to use any photograph, video, or recording of you to document the event and promote this and other events. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our event coordinator.
The UC Riverside IEEE Student Branch is hosting this event in collaboration with UCR’s ECE Department. You can attend the event for free by RSVP-ing. If you are a professional and would like to support this event, you can contact email@example.com to discuss partnerships between your company and this event. Some available opportunities include hosting a technical talk, a workshop, or simply offering community support by attending the event.
Join us for UCR’s 1st ECE Day – “Designing the Future”.
Our day long event will focus trending technologies that are beginning to enter our daily lives in innovative and progressive ways, such as Internet of Things, Big Data, and Virtual Reality. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Letter Invitation from Cal State University San Bernardino student:
Hello IEEE Foothill Section,
My name is Carlos Zepeda, I am the Secretary of the Computer Science and Engineering Club at
California State University San Bernardino. We are a student branch affiliated with IEEE and
ACM. Our student organization is hosting a one day event: The Futures in Engineering
Conference at CSUSB on April 29th, 2017 at the San Bernardino Campus where we will have
guest speakers, company demos, and student project presentations. Our theme for this event
focuses on current and future trends in technology and related fields. We would like to invite
your organization to send some representatives and contribute to the opportunities this
conference will provide. We can give you the whole stage for a presentation, demo your
organization at a booth, or even just attend the event as our guest to see all the great work the
students of Cal State San Bernardino are doing. We have many graduating seniors this year with
various fields of study including: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security,
Physics, and Mathematics. We believe this is a networking opportunity that both our students
and your organization can benefit from.
We would greatly appreciate it if you can participate at our event, please feel free to contact
me with any questions.
