THE IEEE CONSULTANTS NETWORK INVITES YOU TO AN APRIL 27TH MEETING
TAX APPROACHES FOR CONSULTANTS AND ENTREPRENEURS
For our Saturday, April 27th,
meeting we have asked Aaron McLennan To discuss Tax Approaches for Consultants
and Entrepreneurs. Aaron will discuss:
- Tax strategies for Consultants
& Small Businesses - Record keeping requirements
- Payment structures – 1099 or
others - Company structure and tax filing
alternatives - IRS audit triggers
- Tax obligations for Employees
Aaron McLennan started working in
the Accounting/Finance field before he even graduated in 2000 from Cal State
Fullerton with his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. He has held management positions with Home
Depot, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and is currently the Director of Finance for the
Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA). In 2010 he
brought his expertise of Corporate Tax and Accounting over to Grandfield Tax
and Business Services, Inc. He
specializes in corporate tax, small business and sole proprietorship tax, as
well as monthly accounting/budgeting.
As always, this meeting will be
helpful to: those considering consulting. those with an active consulting
practice, and those interested in starting a new business. The Orange County Consultants Network (OCCN)
will again be meeting with the Los Angeles Area Consultants Network (LAACN).
For our May 25th meeting we will have
presentations on their consulting experiences and suggestions by Cash Sutton
and Bob Gauger.
