UMakers Presentation On March 21, 2018; Rob Perhamus, Founder of Umakers.org, gave the Foothill Computer Society members a personalized tour of his Makerspace in Upland, next to the Claremont border. He also offered a discount to any IEEE members who wanted to sign up and use the facility. Registration was through Eventbrite.com and we saw an amazing display of CNC machines, 3D printers, Laser cutters, etc. We also toured the BE A MAKER CLUB for children’s programs, which is in the same complex. Many members asked about making banners or various projects they were interested in; at a very reasonable members only fee.
If you missed this, please drop in and visit with Rob any day for a quick tour and explanation.

Abstract
A new MakerSpace has been added to the IEEE Foothill Section’s western end territory, making it very convenient for many members who want to create, invent, prototype, and MAKE. Many startups have already birthed there. Please come to this event to hear about and see the equipment, tour the facility, see live demos, try some hands-on, and meet your local Makers. You will have an opportunity to speak with members, techies, inventors, innovators, artists, and see many examples of their products produced onsite. Bring your own prototype ideas and questions…….then get some immediate answers!
Mr. Perhamus is the Founder and Owner of umakers.org MakerSpace on the Upland/Claremont border.
