The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) LA Championship robotics competition is
taking place at Monrovia High School on Saturday, Feb 27th. 48 robotics
teams that have advanced from qualifiers will compete for a spot in the
Super Regional Tournament.
This event is a great opportunity to explore competitive robotics and
connect with current and retired engineers (e.g Boeing, Google, JPL,
Disney Imagineering, etc.). Majority of the competition
staff are volunteers. Many of them work in a STEM discipline.
The competition is expected to run from 9am-6pm. The event is far more
engaging as a volunteer. Some positions require training, which is provided
to you online prior to the event.
Some positions currently available are: Field Inspector, Field Resetter,
Pit Runners, Game Announcers, Traffic Control, Crowd Control, Game room,
DJ, and many more.
More information about the competition can be found on the FIRST website:
