IEEE Foothill Society PES chapter and IEEE PES student chapter, Cal Poly Pomona are pleased to sponsor a talk on the topic, an overview of substation Engineering, by Mr. Dewan Jamir for the benefit of IEEE, particularly the student members, with an interest to Power Systems. This talk will be the first in a series of talks on Power Systems the IEEE Foothill Society PES chapter is planning for the student chapter members.
The talk is schedule for the 21st Feb, 2015, at Cal Poly, Pomona. This is a Saturday morning. The schedule of the talk is as follows:

Speaker’s Bio : Dewan_Bio_2015
Dewan Jamir graduated from the Oklahoma State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He received the Master of Engineering Management Degree from the University of Kansas in 2006.
Dewan is the Project Manager for American Electric Power’s (AEP) substation and Transmission projects. He was part of Southern California Edison’s TRTP 4-11 Material Management team. He is a registered professional engineer in Kansas, Alabama & California and a member of IEEE. Dewan has a daughter (5th Grade) and a son (1st Grade) lives in South Pasadena, California.
